내용요약

본고는 2020년 OECD에서 발간한 보고서 “Back to the Future of Education: Four OECD Scenarios for Schooling”에 제시된 네 개의 미래 학교교육 시나리오를 국내의 독자들에게 소개하기 위해 작성되었다(OECD, 2020). 효과적인 전달을 위해 저자는 해당 보고서의 내용을 저자의 관점을 바탕으로 발췌, 요약, 재구성하였다. 본고에서 소개되는 미래 학교교육 시나리오는 현재까지 학교교육의 발전 및 변화 추세가 선형적으로 이어질 것이라는 가정 하에 구상된 것으로 미래의 학교교육을 예언하는 것은 아니다. 그럼에도 불구하고, OECD에서 제시하는 미래 학교교육 시나리오는 교육전문가들과 정책입안자들이 바람직한 미래 학교교육을 구상하고 그것이 현재 우리에게 시사하는 바가 무엇인지 심도있게 논의할 수 있도록 안내한다.
